Great little fridge, questionable shipping method and packaging

Overall, the fridge itself is great. It keeps your food cool and your frozen goods frozen. Although the shipping was free, it's recommended that you go to a store to pick it up yourself, here's why:

First, the delivery person didn't even bother to ringthe doorbell to notify me the refrigerator was here. He/she just left it in front of the door - fortunately it didn't get stolen. Secondly, the product's packaging was in terrible shape. The cardboard box literally fell apart when the two encircling plastic straps were removed (it appeared the box was mutilated then hastily taped back together.) There was also no foam buffer packed for the top of the fridge - resulting in a cracked bezel on part of the door. Although it's only superficial, no one should be receiving damaged goods due to poor packaging.
