Features

WindTunnel™ 2 technology: This patented feature forces the rotating brushes and airflow to work in harmony. It lifts and traps dirt so it won't scatter back into your carpet. Dirt ends up in your cleaner, not on your floor.

Breathe-Easy™ hygienic filter bag system: Changing the bag is clean and simple. When removed, the bag automatically seals itself closed to keep the dirt inside. This filter traps 100% of dust mites, ragweed and common grass pollens.

DirtFINDER™ system: This dirt-sensing technology tells you when your carpet’s clean, indicating with a red light when the vacuum needs more time to clean a particular area.

Eliminate pet hair: This vacuum includes a powered pet hair cleaning tool with rotating brushes to remove stubborn fur from carpets and upholstery.

Reach anywhere: The telescoping quick-release wand and super-stretch hose combine for 12' of cleaning reach.

Other features: The cord rewind feature lets you retract the cord quickly and easily at the push of a button. The 28' cord allows you to clean several rooms without having to reposition the power plug. Edge cleaners help remove dirt right up to the baseboards and the soft wheels make it easy to maneuver the machine.

Never buy another belt: The lifetime belt will not need to be replaced.

The windtunnel technology really is on a level above everyone else..i took a chance and bought it simply because it got great reviews by consumer reports and they were exactly right, i love it.

Great vacuum but a bit heavy

I really like this vacuum. I've had two Bissells in a row, and this one is head and shoulders above both of them. It does a phenomenal job of cleaning the carpet, and even does a great job on hard floors! The only complaint I have is that it is definitelya bit heavy. Pushing isn't so bad, but pulling back gets a bit heavy. But for as clean as it gets everything, and the great little pet hair brush (with it's own rotating brush), I think it would be very hard to find one better for the same money. I was tempted to buy a Dyson, but they cost twice as much, and frankly, I can't imagine the Dyson cleaning any better than this one does. Although the Dyson is probably a bit lighter weight.

I bought this vacuum because I had an early windtunnel and liked it. This vacuum stopped running exactly one week after I brought it home. I took it to a certified techinician. The mother board had to be replaced. Brought it back home 4 Weeks later.The hepa filter (which is supposed to be self-cleaning and cannot be changed by the owner) stopped turning after 1 week of use. Took it back to the techinician and they cleaned it out. Brought it back home and the hepa filter again quit turning. Thenthe on and off button quit working. This all happened in the space of 2 months of ownership. I tried contacting the company they refused to replace the vacuum. Finally after 8 months of suffering with a defective vacuum it stopped running again. In addition to the mechanical problems the dustcup is difficult to put back in place after emptying. I took it to a dumpster and got a bissel. I will not do buisness with Hoover again simply because of the hassel that I was put through. In the vacuums defense it really picked up the dirt and dog hair even in its defective state.
