Jensen In-Dash DVD Player

Features

DVD/CD receiver: The DVD/CD receiver features a built-in MOSFET amp, and is compatible with many formats, including DVD+R, DVD+RW, MP3, WMA, and DivX.

7" touchscreen: The 7" motorized swivel touchscreen angles for left or right viewing, can control an iPod, a USB thumb drive, or an optional navigation system, and has Picture in Picture capability

Built-in Bluetooth wireless connectivity: Place and receive calls through your compatible Bluetooth-enabled phone.

Multimedia options: The remote-mount MediaLink4 auxiliary input center includes USB connector, minijack, iPod cable connector, and RCA jacks so you can expand your entertainment options. All ports are stationed on the front of the MediaLink4 interface, which can be placed under your dash, in a glove compartment or cargo area for easy access.

Optional GPS: The in-dash system is compatible with Jensen's optional navigation system. You can opt to take advantage of turn-by-turn instructions with voice guidance, an easy-to-use graphic interface, and a 2GB SD card preloaded with U.S. and Canadian maps.

Dual-zone audio: The luxury of dual-zone capability means you can enjoy music in the front while passengers in back watch a movie on an optional backseat screen.

Wireless remote: Entertainment is effortless with this full-function, infrared wireless remote control.

Alot of Extras But MISSING many of the Basics.

The Jensen VM-9512 has many options and they all work very well. Everything that the box states is exactly what you get and it is an extremely good deal compared to other competitors.

Now for the disappointments: What bothers me is it will not read thesong titles from burned cd's it will however read mp3 titles. When scrolling through a cd there is a long pause when skipping tracks and you have to wait for the next track to start playing before skipping to the next one. (Unless using the touch screen you can just touch the track you want to play) There are times it seems to miss the first second or two when a track starts to play which can be annoying (It is not the cd it is just more noticeable on songs that start immediately). Also when you scroll through a cd it stops when you try to past the last track, it will not go back to the first track, you have to hit play again and scroll back to the top, if you just hit play the last song will play again. Another issue is when you select the clock when thescreen is retracted and change the song it will not show you the track number it either is on the clock or the track number it will not toggle back and forth. Last but not least if the sun is shinning on the screen it is just about impossible to read.

I don't find these serious problems but these options if you will is something that you find standard on low end cd players and would expect to find on a DVD player that has so many extras.

Overall there are many extras with this player that work very well the sound and picture is excellent (Without direct sunlight) and i would buy it again. I was and still am very disappointed that this player lacks the basics that have been out for years.

I love it!! it's very helpful and handy because when you are driving you can use the remote!!!! It's a GREAT!! product!!!! yea!!!

the only problem i have with this radio is you can not change the color, I have a 318 BMW and the blue background sticks out a lot, beside that I love the radio and i am about to buy another for my 2006 325i, with the nav101 optional Navigation. the bluetooth is great. better than spending $3 grand with BMW package.
