Kicker 12" Solo-Baric Subwoofer

Features

Square design: The Solo-Baric square design provides more area than a conventional round subwoofer, producing more air movement and louder, deeper bass.

SoloKön™ cone: This high-performance cone features a strong, yet lightweight aluminum vapor-deposit material that delivers accurate, tight bass. The rear cone brace offers added strength and keeps the cone from flexing or bending at higher levels.

Santoprene surround: This heavy-duty surround gives you extreme bass at intense volumes.

1200 watts peak power: Rattle your windows and mirrors with plenty of hard-hitting bass.

Dual voice coils: The 2 ohm high-temperature voice coils dissipate heat quickly to keep the cone functioning at peak performance.

UniPlate construction: The Solo-Baric L5 features a one-piece UniPlate construction with a vented hyper-extended pole piece and backplate. This design optimizes heat transfer efficiency for cooler operation and maximum power handling ability. It also releases pressure under the suspension for uniform cone movement and responsive low bass.

Enhanced basket and motor assembly: The basket offers a sturdy foundation to reduce distortion and improve bass output. The low-profile design makes it easy to install in just about any application.

High-strength connections: The sleeved lead wires provide a secure connection to your speaker wire to keep the power flowing.

I went to a local store and listened to it in the store and it didn't seem that impressive, at first. I asked if I could test it in my car and after they let me, my opinion changed instantly. We hooked up the box to my amp (850 watts RMS @ 2 ohms) and BOOM. This subs can hit really low notes and my rearview mirror almost fell off. I tested this sub with Ludacris - Blueberry Yum Yum and it hit so hard, I blew a fuse (fuse was a little small so they were nice enough to give me a bigger one for free). While it may seem pricey, it's worth it if you want to be heard. Make sure you get the 4-year protection plan because kicker subs are known for having their voice coils blow.
As impressed as I was, I'm gonna special order the L7 because it's supposed to even louder.

I work at circuit city and one of these things hit harder than some of the pairs of 12's. I would recommend them to anyone, you might also might wanna get a powerful amp some this w/ atleast 500rms watts (each). I am gonna order these things as soon as ican and get them hooked up so i can me bumpin to some hard hitting songs w/ a quality system.
