I bought this to install a cd player into my 04 cavilier. It worked good with the din install on my pioneer deck. But when that deck died i installed a kenwood deck and thats when the install problem started.

With the din style install the trim ring of the deck would not fit under the dash piece that surrounds the radio, leaving the metal around the cd player exposed making the install look cheap.

I then tried the iso style install and that recesses the cd player further into the dash, not leavingenough room for the cd player. I ended up having to cut away part of the dash behind the radio to make room.

Once i modified the dash opening the kenwood cd deck fit great and looks clean and profesonal.

The under radio storage is pretty much a tease.It is only 1 inch tall and nothing i have tried to store there would fit except for the remote to my pioneer deck, which came flying out everytime i turned a corner or braked hard. But it is the right size for a EQ if ya cut off the tray, so i might try doing that in the future.
