It works, but for almost $20 you don't get much. It's a simple stamped sheet metal part which works, but is worth more like $5 or $10 retail. Also they could do a better job sizing the sheet metal screws to the speaker mounting holes in the bracket. Forcing those screws to cut into the bracket is rather scary with your new speaker cone 1/2' away. Also, the holes that lined up with my Polk speakers were bigger than the heads on the supplied screws and needed washers. Get your own self taping screws andsave the hassle.

I used these brackets for Sony XPLOD XS-V4642A 4x6 inch speakers.
the adapter plate that was included with the speakers was needed to adapt to this adapter. Also, the holes for the scews included were too small. A dremel or drill would be recomended, orself tapping screws. Other than the price these were good.

These adapters work very well. They bolted up to the speakers and dash as intended, so i did not have to make any modifications to my jeep. I also used speaker wire adapters for a true bolt in install(no cutting or drilling)
