Features

Sound great: LifeCam’s built-in microphone automatically picks up your voice with remarkable clarity.

High definition photos: Capture vivid 1.3-megapixel photos as well as 640 x 480 videos.

Windows Live™ call button: Just press this button and select an online contact to start a video call.

Automatic face tracking: With this feature activated, the camera automatically follows you as you move about, always keeping you within the video. Added features such as pan, tilt and zoom allow you to capture the picture the way you want it.

Add video to your IM: Add the live video dimension to your instant messaging, accessible right from the Windows Live Messenger Window. This webcam also works with IM services like Yahoo!® Messenger and AOL® Instant™ Messenger.

Easy to place: Thanks to the universal base, it's a snap to attach the LifeCam to any monitor.

USB 2.0 speed: The LifeCam features a certified Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection for sharp and speedy video.

Unreliable Peice of Microsoft

The webcam itself is quite nice, but the tracks of Microsoft are written all over it.

1st wrong: You cannot install on a windows 2000, although it would more than support it.

2nd wrong: When you tilt the camera, you almost always hit the call button which leads to a small lag and a Windows Live Messenger pop-up

3rd wrong: The lighting is really bad. If light is not falling straight on your face, even if your room is lit, you will barely be able to see your face

1st good: The camera is of some-what good quality and allows you to focus

2nd good: the universal base is some-what useful (but its a pain)

Overall, this product will be a pain in the butt if you don't have a Windows XP computer of moderate quality, with a moderate graphics card.

Image quality as good as any, can't say the same for audio. Maybe it is because I do not want to load MS messenger to be able to adjust the audio controls, don't force something on me I won't use, get the product right first. Returning it overpriced

Great video clarity and easy to use. The only problem that I've had so far is that once in a while it randomly cuts out.
