awesome player! has great built in FM tuner! very small and lightweight. It is true that if you buy a subscription and you cancel it, that the music you downloaded goes away. BUT you don't have to have a subscription, you can simply buy the songs for 79 points each and have it forever. As for the radio, it has nothing to do with the subscription, it works all the time. overall great product!

Way better than the iPod

I've had Zune since the first generation came out. I have both the 30 gig one and a small 8 gig that I absolutely love. The player itself is sleek, light weight, has radio that works great and the battery has never died on me. It also has wireless capability so if I don't have my cable on me I can still put music in it. The software is great I find almost all the music I love. I say almost because I enjoy music from all over the world and sometimes if an artist is only known locally in certain country then of course I can't find it. But I am able to download it from somewhere else and then just transfer it to my Zune Player. I have a subscription. 15 bucks a month and I can have all the music & podcasts I want. I store pictures in it. and here is where the iPod gets crushed even more by zune: Unlike with stupid iTunes and iPod, with zune I can see my picture folders and delete ONLY the pictures that I don't want as well as upload the ones that I want. My sister gave me an iPod recently and I learned thatin order to delete pictures in it you have to replace the whole folder with another one. i can't even see the pictures individually on the stupid iTunes.
I never used it again. It's been laying around collecting dust. Nothing compares to my Zune this player is the best thing since sliced bread!

I purchased a black 8 GB Zune for my husband for his birthday. The Zune itself is great and I would recommend it to anyone. I ordered the leather case as well. They gave me a brown leather case to go with my black Zune. I went to the store and to exchange the brown case for a different color, but they said that was the only color that they had. Make sure you don't make the same mistake and I did and know what color you are getting before you submit your order.
