The stands are a very attractive and functional piece of equipment. The only issue was with running the speaker wire through the post. The post is fairly small and there were issues with the wire getting hung up at the joint where the post can slide forheight adjustment. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I purchased the black set and the platinum set for my surround sound system. The black set is in the front which matches the Sony 46' Z series and the platinum set is in the back with the surround speakers. The platinum stands blend in with the room sothey don't stand out and make the room look clumsy or cluttered.

The stands are very sturdy especially with the glass platform which helps give it weight and stability. The package contains several extra pieces of hardware giving you various options for mounting the speakers. I used the double sticking tape so I could sit the speakers on top of the stand giving it an even cleaner look.

Assembly was extremely easy. The only problematic area was fishing the wire through the hollow stand. I ended up removing the narrow telescoping tube and fishing the wire through each piece seperately, this made it much easier.

Give these stands a try you will be very happy and impressed. Great buy!

my four speaker mounts would have been a lot easier, but the distributor (circuit city) sold me one set that had been obviously opened and had none of the hardware left in it. to their credit , all it took was one phone call and they took care of the problem. i read some reviews and anyone who cannot put these together has more than a problem reading. nice sound, look, and a good buy for the money.
