These DVD's are great for writing and re-writing. Easy to use and durable, you get a great picture on these. Slightly expensive but worth it.

Excellent quality recording and great editing flexibility are the top reason, in my view, for getting these dvd-ram. I wish there were more compatible systems out there that would play back these discs. It's perfect for recording that show that you wantto keep and watch over and over again since it's durable and practical. By the way, the editing feature would allow you to put a name to each program recorded on these which saves you time.

This product is great for capturing TV shows that I want to archive since I can edit out the commercials after recording them on my Panasonic machine.

The claritiy of recording and recording time really depends on the recording speed you select on your machine. I prefer the speed which allows me to fit five 30-minute TV episodes on each disc, minus the commercials. It gives me the most desirable picture quality/recording time balance.

A word of warning--these discs must be used on DVD-RAM compatable recorders, and there doesn't seem to be very many of these kinds of machines out there.
