Features

16-45mm zoom lens: This lens features a 3x zoom ratio with focal lengths covering ultra-wide angle to normal ranges and is well-suited for advanced amateurs and professionals.

Construction: Pentax has incorporated a high-refraction extra low dispersion (ED) glass element to produce a high-resolution, high-contrast image with true-to-life color rendition. The aspherical lens elements help transmit the light more efficiently through the lens to the focal plane.

Compatibility: Works with Pentax digital SLR cameras.

Bought this one instead of the kit lens, and love it. thinking about getting the 50-200mm to compliment, but the wide angle of this lens is amazing. Don't use the built in flash when at 16mm, because you'll get lens shadow, but that's the only negative.

Very fine lens, especially compared to its cheaper 'kit lens' alternative but disappointingly large, considering Pentax' ability to make smaller lenses, ie. its 'pancake' 40mm DA 2.8 40mm jewel of a lens.
