Features

Indoor/outdoor multi-switch: This rugged, weather-resistant indoor/outdoor multi-switch connects multiple devices. Gold-plated inputs/outputs create minimal signal loss. The interference-rejecting die-cast body and gold-plated inputs/outputs create a solid ground connection for your devices.

Compatibility: This multi-switch unit is compatible with the Triple LNB DIRECTV® Phase II oval dish. Connect up to 8 receivers or 4 dual tuner DirectTiVos® plus antenna or cable signals.

Power: This connector uses a DC power supply.

Used this for the following set-up: DirecTV triple LNB dish with built in 4 out multiswitch, 1 DirecTV DVR and 3 standard DirecTV recievers. Rated 3 stars durability as I just got it. Hope it stands up to the attic heat. Rated 2 stars on cost benefit as similar components can be had on-line for half the cost. Would have rated it poor but they have it in stock and on hand for immediate use. Signal loss seems minimal according to signal meter on recievers. Longest cable run is only 40 feet max though. I did use twist-on connectors.

I am using this with my DirecTV 3LNB receiver and local cable w/ diplexer. When my house was wired, they ran two coax cables to each room, and this was fine. one for local cable and one for DirecTV, until I got a DVR. I needed two satellite cables run to the DVR (for optimal usage value). I needed to share the line and have both cable and satellite on the same cable using a diplexer to split it back out. The Phillips multi-switch works great. One things of note, the unit gets very, very hot. Meaningyou could literally burn yourself on the metal. I'm not sure if this is because I am using every connector or if it runs hot regardless. My understanding is that it doesn't support the DirecTV 5LNB. This stinks as I am about to upgrade to HD serviceand will need to upgrade to the 5LNB receiver. I need to research my options. I paid $150, so I considered it a little pricey. Looks like the price has come down.
