Worst piece of equipment I have ever owned

If you read no further than the first line, then just know that this is the worst piece of electronic equipment I have ever owned.

I should have known this phone would be a disaster when it first arrived but would not charge. I returned it and was shipped a new one which worked initially but had very poor call quailty. (There was noticeable static and an odd clicking sound on every call). In addition to the poor sound quality the phone did not hold a charge for more than a few hours eventhough I followed all the instructions and allowed it to charge for the full 24 hrs before attempting to use it. The phone has had many other odd and inconvenient issues too numerous to list (I.e dropped calls, turns off for no reason, blank screen for hours, etc..). Thefinal straw came last night when it just decided that it no longer wanted to recognize the base station and no amount of reseting or reregestering the device to the base would coax it into working. Overall, the build quality is cheap, the call quality ispoor, and the phone is at best unrelaible. It's heading into the trash tonight and it WILL NOT BE REPLACED WITH A PHILLIPS.

I have read a lot of bad reviews on these phones but I disagree them. I have 4 handsets besides the base unit and so far after over a year of use all have worked flawlessly. I do notice the signal becomes intermittent when the range from the base is stretched to itâ€s limit. One of the handsets would only function marginally in an outbuilding but the building is heavily insulated and tends to reflect radio signals due to foil covered insulation. I love the speakerphone. The voice quality is clear and easyto understand. The sim card feature is very useful. Being able to check the answering machine from the handsets is also convienient. Not only can you check messages but you can also clear them as well. One thing to take note of. If you plan to use thesephones like extension phones you will be disappointed. Like all phones that work off a base, only one phone can pick up unless the person on the answered phone transfers the call to one or more of the other handsets. So far that has never been a major issue for us.

the bad part is the diplay show miltary time only.
the sound echos somtimes.the batery life not so good.
