Works as advertised - we wanted a phone connection to our DVR without drilling holes in our exterior wall. This one fit the bill perfectly.

Though the device transmit a phone line wirelessly when I hooked it up, the noise on the line was horrible. I wanted to use it for a hardwired phone in a room without a jack but there was no way this would have worked. Now I am going to have to run wires through the attic to get the set-up I needed for an office. This device may work for a Tivo or Direct TV system, but in no way would it work for voice communication.
Circuit City did take it back without any hassles.

Not a good solution for an alternate phone line, probably fine for DirectTV purposes

The jack worked in theory, meaning it connected remotely and provided a dial tone. However, there was so much static on the line, you couldn't use it as a phone line. Could probably be used for DirectTV or a fax line where static is not a factor. We followed all of the instructions for moving it away from extension cords, and any other electronics that might cause intereference but it never improved. I returned it the following day.
