Great fryer at great price.

We have been using the Gran Pappy deep fryer, but needed one a little larger
when family visits. This fryer is like a commercial fryer, but family sized.
You need an 1800 watt fryer, so the food will cook fast and not let the oil soak in.
With the digitalcontrols, a light lets you know when to fill the basket with food
and drop down into the oil. You can set the temperature of your choice. and whatever the food requires.
Just a great appliance all around.

This fryer does a great job of deep-frying...from fries to shrimp, onion rings to taquitoes - it does it all very nicely! Love the electronic controls for preset temps from 300-375 with 350 doing the job for most foods...also has a timer function that isvery useful! Instruction booklet easy to read/understand. Capacity is adequate for most users - holds about 3 48-oz bottles of canola oil which can be reused up to 3 times if you're willing to cool the oil, strain it well and refrigerate it 'til next time. Let the oil come to room temp before readding to fryer to save heating up time and always use the lid while heating oil but remove lid for deep frying. Not too messy as deep fryers go. Best price I found for it was here at CC and I would definitely recommend as it performs to my high standards as does the Presto jumbo electric skillet that has the best non-stick coating and performance of any electric skillet I've tried these days. Guess Presto products still rule!
