Great Audio, Poor Receiver

This is one of the best sounding clock radios I have ever listened to. However the receiver's selectivity and sensitiity are very poor. This radio will only pick up the two or three strongest stations in your town. AM reception is virtually nonexsistent. The mechnism that operates the CD door looks cool, but is prone to breakage. I'm on my 3rd unit, all replaced under warranty.

My lab loves this radio. We plug in our various MP3 players - we all have different kinds and they work beautifully.
The display is large and bright enough for all applications. The sound quality is excellent for the price.

I really liked the appearance and size of the player and the sound quality is good. However, the programing is not user friendly and it only took about 8 uses of the cd player before it broke. Of course it holds up till just after the 30 day return policyis over and then you get stuck paying for labor, which can cost almost as much as the unit itself. I think RCA should have focused more on the quality than all the bells and whistles on this one. I would not recommend it.
