Purchased and returned two other phones (RCA and Panasonic) . RCA was poor quality Panasonic was suitable for an office but not a home. This phone is perfect. It is easy to use and has great features. In addition, it's less expensive than the phonesI returned.

I should not have expected much from an inexpensive phone but why is it so hard to get a decent speakerphone without spending $200? The problem, as with most phones, is the microphone. If someone buys a 2-line phone, there is a pretty good chance that one of the lines will be used for business but this phone cannot be used to participate in a conference call. In fact, it goes off mute when you get a call on the 2nd line (of course I couldn't tell, because there isn't a light on the mute button itself).I should have bit the bullet and replaced my Polycom with another.
