This mount is garbage. I followed instructions to the t.....mount fell off my wall....TV remained on mount......components everywhere!!!! Now I'm out a mount, and a TV. So much for that Super Bowl Party. 2 thousand bucks down the drain! P.O.S. Called customer service....couldn't understand what this guy was saying. I think he was from India, China, Mexico....one of them joints. I recommend Sanus. Other than that.....it's actually a nice product. Looks sleek and sexy on the wall.....but looks disgusting asass on the ground with nuts and screws scattered about.

Not mounted properly TV tilts

I had the Circuit City Firedog service mount my Sony 46' TV on this mount. A few weeks later, I notived the TV was not level. I called and called and called and the technician said that was impossible, that it was level when he left and that it couldn'tgo out of level. Then he called back and told me I could manually adjust the level by lifting one end of the TV.
Finally, I got Firedog back out to fix their job, and the guy points out that the motor unit attached to the mount only on one side, so that when the TV is rotated all the way to the other side, the mount tilts on the bracket. So he added an attachment screw to the other side of the bracket.

Now the whole bracket that attaches to the studs is off level by more than a bubble, and neither Firedog nor Cicuit City can find it in their schedule to get out here and fix it today.

Can't ge the Salamander people to return calls or e-mails.

I am very unhappy with this product.

Nice mount for the money

We are very pleased. The manual tilt is the set-it-and-forget-it type as you need a tool to change it. The remote allows you to redefine travel limits for the motorized rotation and set a favorite location for one touch rotation. Good deal for the money and holds my 46' LCD LG very nicely. Be aware that this style mount puts the TV several inches farther from the wall, which in our case was an advantage. It was a bit of work to assemble, but you only need to do that once and there was hardware in thebag for all types of TVs. Be sure you hit real studs for both screw locations as the greater leverage is a concern. Ignore those plaster wall sinks if you value your TV or your toes.
