I bought this so i could record and watch movies straight from the memory card of the psp and so far its been working perfectly. I also found a way to use it on my sidekick 3. And used it on my friend's nextel i930 and worked perfectly. I just bought a wii and u can also use the v mate watch vids on the wii too.

battery can be replaced

the review on 10-17-07 is a bit inaccurate, the battery can be changed. It is a button cell, much like those in any other 'credit card' style remote. The battery can be removed by moving a switch on the bottom thin edge of the remote.

Functionality will be dead in a year, clunky design

On paper the idea was good, but this product missed the mark all the way. The design in clunky. It comes with a tiny remote and an IR sensor that you have to plug into the unit. The remote's battery can't be changed and the only way to control the unit iswith the remote. This means if the remote dies, your product won't work. So the life of this product = the life of the battery in the remote!
