Nice pair of headphones for the price

I'll be blunt: these are not the greatest headphones I have ever heard. What they ARE: unique-featured moderate-priced decent sounding headphones. they literally vibrate around your head.

Pros: Price. Nice bass addition to an otherwise normally bass-lacking market. comes with carrying pouch, and stereo/airplane adapters. earpads are fairly comfortable, but do not enclose the ear completely like some headphones I have used. Warranty program is great - free replacement (lifetime) for certain things, and then for accidental damage (e.g. playing with flammables, as the packaging playfully mentions) they will replace for half the purchase price. not bad.

cons: sits high on the head- the band is almost not long enough to have the headphones sit on my ears properly. the highs are not quite as defined as I prefer... but then again I am used to a 2,000$ system in daily listening. the low end seems to be optimized for no less than 38hz (really rough guess?).

it is not perfect for serious lows. as an example of this, the lows in Beastie Boys' 'License to Ill'cannot be heard, while the bass guitar line in Scar Tissue (Red Hot Chili Peppers) seems to be perfect. You can practically hear the low end cut line with Come Together (beatles) from one part of the low part being perfect (like from 0:00 to 0:22) and then cutting off (0:22 to 0:30)

Final Verdict: if you're looking for a kick to the low end at a good price, get these now. If you're looking for noise canceling, don't bother, although they are still fairly well sealed. I would recommend these because of price, and the (aforementioned) bass they add to music.

These headphones are amazing. The sound quality is extremely nice, having subs on each ear doesn't hurt in the slightest. I've shown them off to my friends and I have yet to find one who doesn't want a pair of their own. Basically for $40 you would behard pressed to find better headphones.

when i first heard the skullcrushers, i was amazed, the bass shook my head, i went out and bought a pair for myself and after 6 months there are only two things i have to complain about, both which aren't big problems either. first off, the bass doesnt change, its the same low buzz as always, which when listening to certain artists who have incredible bass players (especially Red Hot Chili Peppers) the bass line is harder to distinguish. the other think i dont like is the plastic that skullcandy used, itis cheap plastic, now i have had these headphones for 6 months and i have been pretty rough with them, and there are only minuscule cracks that are starting to appear. I am now being a lot more delicate with them with the hope of preserving them, i believe that if skullcandy used higher quality materials, than they are currently using, the head phones would last much longer. Overall I love these headphones and i will put up with the flaws.
