Wonderful for the Gym

I've had these headphones (but the white version) for over a year. I use them at the gym three times a week for two hours, on long plane rides, and for eight hour intervals while I work on weekends. They're great for blocking out noise, have well-definedsound and are very comfortable for long-term wear. And, despite the fact that I run and lift weights with them in, they have nearly always stayed in place (it takes a fairly solid tug to knock them out of my ears). The trick to comfort and a good fit is choosing the right size from the ear plugs that come with the product. I would recommend trying each for an extended period before settling on one.
After hundreds of hours of use, with a lot of abuse (pulling, tugging, sweat buildup and wear from the running), the coating on the wires has separated by the Sony emblem knob. Although this would seem like a bad endorsement, it's not. I'm very hard on headphones and this is the first pair that has lasted me more than a few months. I'm definitely buying anotherpair.

Nice sound, but keeps slipping from the ear

I got this one more than a year back. Its sound quality is the best in the audio world. Excellent bass as the R&D in Fontopia series have contributed a lot for this. However, the design is its major flaw. The earpieces keep slipping out of my ears (not that i have an abnormal earshape or anything). This is a major flaw in this model. I hope that Sony rectifies this shape in the future.

Excellent Earbuds

My sister and I went to Circuit City about 5 days ago. My earbuds, $39.99, are excellent. They block out outside noise and have a rich bass. These are great for relaxing. My sister bought a cheaper pair of headphones, $9.99, and the two headphone parts and hanging off. Don't think you will get equal quality from a cheaper pair of headphones. These earbuds have awesome sound quality, they stay in my ears easily, and the cord is plenty long when listening to music from my laptop. Again, I haven't hadthese long, but so far, so good. No signs of cords coming apart or anything.
