Play your iPod music player through the MHC-EC68Pi mini hi-fi component system, with the included Digital Media Port (DMP) accessory and experience big sound without the big system. There's enough power on tap to fill virtually any room with quality sound. Also features 30-preset radio station tuning, CD player (plays burned CDs), audio-in jack and a remote control.

Allows you to listen to your iPod by simply by connecting it to the included Digital Media Port.

Digital Media Port Base
Allows for simple plug and play of an iPod with the included TDM-iP10. Designed exclusively for iPod, enables you to play your iPod music on your mini system.

One of the few with integrated Ipod control

We purchased this unit to power a set of Bose outdoor speakers and so far this unit serves its purpose very well. A couple of the reasons we purchased this unit, besides the Sony name, was because of the Ipod integration and remote. The unit delivers plenty of power to drive our Bose outdoor speakers and the audio-in port is a nice addition (allows us to pipe in our LCD TV or any non-ipod player). Overall we are very happy with the unit and the only two things we noticed are that the LED display is difficult to read in sunlight (but we realize that this wasn't intended to be an outside unit) and the FM receiver fades in and out occasionally.

This is a replacement for a 20+ year old Sony bookshelf unit that developed a speaker hum. It fits my space very nicely, it looks good, and it sounds good to my older ears.I like the digital tuner and the easy loading of CD's. For me it was a good buy. Maybe in the future I will get an ipod, for now, it is an unnecessary feature.
