Don't make me install software I don't want

I just bought the Western Digital 500GB My Book Essential Edition 2.0 External Hard Drive, and so far I'm pretty satisfied with the product. The only issue I have is with the Google software. Unless I really missed something, the installation process automatically installs various Google software without giving you a choice if you want it or not. That is really in poor taste because I don't use it, I don't plan on using it and I don't want to be forced to install software I don't want. Plus, it makes a much longer installation process, as I had to go back and uninstall the software I didn't want or need.

The drive worked flawlessly and reformatted to the NTFS format without any problems. I have it attached to my laptop and like the fact that it shutsdown when the computer goes on standby mode.
