WowWee Roboquad

Roboquad is an animated robot with unique multi-directional movement capabilities and advanced sensory awareness. Featuring multi-colored flashing lights and techno sound effects, Roboquad is the first true robotic arthropod. Change his awareness, activity or aggression levels to completely alter his personality and behaviors.

A 4 layer, full function and illuminated remote control allows you to choose between 4 modes and 72 pre-programmed functions. Enjoy direct control, or allow autonomous action with guard, sleep, dance or movement modes. The sleek and agile rotating legs and articulated neck allow for advanced movement control of up to 40 programmable moves. You can even control how Roboquad walks and moves its head!

In autonomous mode, the built-in light sensor turns headlights on and off depending on light levels. When Roboquad is stationary, the sound sensor scans for the nearest object and reacts. This allows for smooth movement through the surrounding environment as it scans and avoids obstacles.

Roboquad's behavior is influenced by 3 controllable personality settings:

• Activity level
• Aggression level
• Awareness level

The deep IR scanner vision system uses multiple scanning ranges and 5 scanning sequences. This feature is used to assess distances and obstacles, as well as influence behavior.

• Smart scan: Roboquad examines surroundings and then reacts if anything changes based on aggression and activity levels.
• Scan left and scan right: Roboquad will turn and face any object within a 3 foot range, on the left or right side.
• Approach nearest object: Looks left and right, while ramping up the scanning range and moves towards the closest object found.
• Escape walk: Roboquad will select the largest open space and move toward it.
• Flinch response: If an object approaches the scanner very quickly Roboquad will react, according to the aggression level.
