It was very easy to install. It easily interfaces with my Premier Radio. No need for a third party tuner adapter(Terk). The radio has a built in tuner. The sound is cd quality. I love it. Use this item only if you have a Premier or Pioneer Radio with a XMready logo. It also has a bus connection for adding a Ipod.(It works with the Pioneer CDIB100I ) That is what sold me on this since i have a Ipod Mini. Love It

Beware of recommended accessories for items purchased, I purchased a JVC-HDRI Radio Satellite radio.. Awesome unit by the way. But.............. The recommended accesories included XM Satellite Radio Tuner - Pioneer. My gut feeling was whether it was going to worth with my unit. I should have called first but I ordered anyway and just as I suspected it was not compatible and I had to return it..

Excellent tuner, very easy to install with a pioneer head unit (for which it is designed). So far, I am well satisfied. One caution about installation - be sure to connect to a power source that always on (per instructions) and not one the goes off withthe ignition switch if not, the unit will not hold your station settings.
