This is my third upgrade to my XM lineup. I've been through the Myfi, Inno(destroyed), and now the XpressR.

The split screen is one of the best innovations in the Satellite radio market. While listening to one channel you can scroll around and see whatson the other channels while still seeing what is playing on your current channel.

One thing this unit is vague about on the packing is that is does NOT have a built in FM modulator. You have the option to turn in on in the menu, but you MUST buy the optional SureConnect or the FM Direct adapter to make it work. I use a direct AUX-IN connection so it was no use to me anyway.

Other then that. Fantastic PNP. The pictures don't show the thickness but the dimensions are.

I have an Audiovox Xpress in my other car and wanted another since my wife has also gotten spoiled with it. This looked like a better option especially with the split screen, three sets of pre-sets and the sports/stock ticker. The display is crisper thanthe Xpress and it's a nicer looking unit. I am fortunate enough to have an AUX jack that keeps me from having to run it through the FM receiver. Even with the SureConnect, there is still some interference in my other car. At any rate, I say if you can, get this one. You will not be sorry.

Easy to set up and put in use

Nice compact design, very easy to set up for first time use. Sound quality is more of a feature of your car audio system. We use the cassette interface and it works well. Lots of features - but consider whether the user is likely to access more than the stations you preset. For example, rewinding and searching may be a little tricky at 60+mph. It's possible that if you (or the intended user) is less techno-savvy, a less feature rich model may work as well for a lower price. It was a gift for my technophobic spouse and she now ranks XM 3rd on best gadget list - after TIVO and the Keurig coffee maker!
