Features

Portable Grand for an amazing stereo grand voice: One push of a button delivers the most realistic piano sound available in portable keyboards. Pressing the Portable Grand button resets the entire keyboard to a stereo-sampled piano distinctive for its warmth and clarity. The keyboard includes a Sustain Pedal jack on the back for practicing and playing piano.

Voices & styles: The YPT-210 has 375 professional sounding instrument voices to choose from, compatible with both 3rd party and Yamaha XG software. Among other great sounds you'll find trumpets, violins, electric pianos, harpsichord, organ, guitars and bass guitar. In addition, the YPT-210 has auto accompaniment styles that "follow" your playing. Simply select a style of music from the 100 built-in styles, play a single note or chord on the left side of the keyboard and play your melody on the right side. The YPT-210 will create a backup band and "follow" you through the song.

MIDI connection: MIDI allows your keyboard to communicate with a computer. Because the YPT-210 is both General MIDI (GM) and XGlite compatible, you have access to thousands of MIDI song files on the Internet.

Yamaha Education Suite: The YPT-210 has 102 built-in songs for you to learn to play. Use the included software and select any song for a left-handed, right-handed or two-handed piano lesson. You can practice and learn at your own pace by selecting the song for your lesson and the practice method.

Beautiful Grand Piano sound for a low price.

Speakers on the actual keyboard not so great, plug in to a keyboard amp or PA sounds incredible for such a low price. Do not be fooled by the cheap price, this is a very high quality product and is MUCH better than any Casio or previous Yamaha PSR/YPT keyboard I've ever played.

I've been playing keyboard for years and just wanted something small to compose. Not having a lot of money, this is perfect for me. I like key size, speakers are ok. I'll never use a lot of the funky sounds. Quality is good. The Grand Piano setting is great.

I would have liked a power system and midi connectors, a sustain pedal..That would have raised the price, so it's still a good deal.

I bought this keyboard specifically to MIDI interface with my roland PK5a bass pedals. I am able to use the patches on the keyboard and assign them to my bass pedals. The onboard speakers, true, aren't that great, but through an amp it sounds great - the only downside is that the battery compartment doesn't work on mine, and it didn't come with an AC adapter, and it didn't say that on the box...
