DVD to VCR direct recording: Not only can you record DVDs on this machine, but you can transfer your digital media to VHS tapes with the push of a button.

Digital camcorder input: Take video and audio from your digital camcorder directly onto DVD media through the camcorder input. Other inputs include 1 front and 1 rear composite input, 1 front and 1 rear audio L/R input and 1 rear DV input.

I bought the XBR616 last Xmas...

and the laser has already died on the DVD player. It won't read any discs, whether commercially recorded or recorded on the DVD player. The warranty has expired, of course. Had I known Zenith was part of LG, I'd have bought another brand.

The machinewas great while it worked. If you are looking for longevity, go with another brand.

Just after the warranty expired the DVD player began intermittently not working and then finally not at all. We didn't even use it that much. I can't believe a product this bad is still on the market. I had it less than one year. DON'T BUY IT.

I have been using this for 6 months and have had more problems then wanted. The drawer to play a disc keeps getting stuck either open or will not open. To record from the television is a joke. The picture on the screen once you get it working is a okay.
