Good sound, simple to use, lots of features

I have been listening to iPod speaker systems for two weeks, and also reading reviews on many sites, and since I have been listening to many of these models I have discovered one thing - you have to play *your* music on *your* iPod in order to determine what you will be happy with.


I was singularly unimpressed with several higher priced 'name' portable systems when I considered their price and their features as well as their sound. If you are looking for an 'all around', very portable system with lots of nice little extras that has a more than decent sound, I recommend this unit.


It's lightweight, has a good carrying handle and a place to stash the remote (which works fine AFAIC). It recharges your iPod. It runs on batteries if you need it to, and comes with not only a wall charger but a car charger too, so you could actually take it in the car with you instead of messing with FM transmitters or cassette adapters. It's got plenty of power for what it is, and fills the rooms of my apartment pretty well. The bass is good if not thumping, and so is the midrange. If it lacks, it's in the treble department, but you can just boost the treble on your iPod equalizer and it sounds better. The sound quality doesn't equal the $200+ units of course, butIMO it equals or comes close to equaling some of the big name $100-$150 units, for a lot less money.


I do not listen to heavy rock, hip-hop or R&B on my iPod, but classical, world, percussion, acoustic music, and pop and this little machine sounds prettygood on all of them.

Bought this for camping and I have to say that this was probably one of the best items I have ever bought. Happy with the sound and portability of it. PLayed both old generationa dn new generation iPod in it with no problem. Takes 8 D batteries but ,itwas on 2 days straight and did not die on me. LOVE IT!!!! Can't wait to tak eit out again. Highly recommend it and I am buying the case for it on iHome to protect it from harm. Great item for a great price.

All in all, I like this player. It's easy, convenient and has nice features. The only problems is that there is sometimes a hiss when playingthe IPod. Also, the plastic pieces that are supposed to help with putting the IPod into the machine just don'tseem to fit.
