I purchased to replace a JBL Clock Radio that was having LCD issues.

I only had the JBL for 1.5 yrs or so. My Timex CD clock radio lasted for years, with no issues.
I like that this has (8) dimmer setting and one of those is turning it off. JBL at night was way to bright. If you wear glasses for reading the displayis easy to see, buttons on this new design are easy to understand.
You have an option to play a playlist from your ipod. I actually was renumbering song files so it would have 00 ect. in front of the file so I would have the songs I wanted to play first,now I can designate it to play a playlist.
Setting the Alarms was easy. Nice feature to have Everyday, weekdays, or weekends. (2) Alarms, on Fridays I get to get up latter, no switching a single alarm. Since they are so easy to set, now I can adjust if I have a weekend time I need to set. Wake to Ipod, Playlist, Radio or Buzzer.
I think this is just a bit heavier than the JBL.
I'm very happy with this purchase. Also Circuit City's return policy I've never had any issues with, unlike with some ofthe other retailers.
It also has a ipod adapter for the ITouch, don't have one of those yet. but nice to know theirs one.

Just picked this up earlier today! Very easy product to set up and use. The sound quality is great but not the best, I wish the bass gave a deeper thump but overall the sound it outputs is awsome for it's space saving size. The 3D sound feature is great!!! It really gives a surround sound effect. Another thing that you won't find in other speaker docking system is the remote feature. Trust me, you're going to want the remote!! I have nothing bad to say about it, I love it!!
